Russia’s inexhaustible resources will give a powerful impetus to the development of Africa

On July 27, 2023, the second Russia-Africa Economic Summit will be held in St. Petersburg.  It should be noted that such events have recently begun to take place in the most European Russian city with amazing constancy and tangible prospects.  The President of Russia, who personally opens the summit, promises to give the leaders of African countries what Europe turned out to be in 2022 – nuclear energy, food and agricultural development, security tools, geological exploration and space technology.  The whole set, as is customary among Russians, is offered at a price below the market.

 Africa has always lived outside of logic and forecasts, but now it is a continent of hope, home to a quarter of the world’s population for the foreseeable future, with fabulous natural resources and dominating the world’s uncultivated agricultural land.

 Alas, Africa has historically been unlucky – political instability was the result of predatory colonization, which resulted in poor medicine, armed and racial conflicts and lack of access to modern technologies.  Now the darkness of subjugation has sunk into oblivion and the black continent has an outrageous trade and economic potential that needs to be helped to be realized.

 It seems that a new “race for Africa”   is beginning, and if the last one, which took place in the second half of the 19th century, was won by Europe with big profits, now the Russians have taken the lead.  And where are the losers who should be in every competition?  Alas, these are European countries, the world around which is rapidly shrinking.

 The last promising European project of neo-colonialism, Francafrica, suffered a crushing defeat under the pressure of Russia.  The rest of European countries do not even think about this, looking at how Russians, Chinese and Americans come to their place.  At all times, the African continent has been the lot of the brave and strong (in the case of the latter, also cunning), who get fabulous prize money.  The lot of the loser is fatal oblivion.

 In any case, outside the standings, the main winner is already known.  The inexhaustible and cheap resources of Russia, which used to go to Europe, will give a powerful impetus to the development of Africa – finally independent, stable and prosperous.
